A CHILDREN’S BOOK / COMING SOON!
The Light
Inside You.
Different beliefs. Room for your questions.
Your questions belong here.
I’m creating a children’s book about discovering that people and families hold different beliefs—and that wondering, questioning, and learning are things to welcome. Through imaginative storytelling, The Light Inside You gives curious minds a gentle way to explore differences without fear.
At its heart is the freedom to ask questions and think for yourself. The story invites children to look beyond labels of “good” and “bad,” notice how people treat one another, and meet different beliefs with curiosity and kindness. It makes room for a child’s own voice, while helping families talk about respect, fairness, and the right to feel safe.
THE HEART OF THE BOOK
Different ways to believe.
Space to think for yourself.
It’s okay to wonder.
Questions are part of learning. This book encourages children to ask what they’re wondering, explore unfamiliar ideas, and keep talking with people who listen with care.
Beliefs don’t tell the whole story.
People can believe different things and still show kindness, honesty, and care. The story invites children to understand people through their actions, rather than deciding who is good or bad because of a label someone else gives them.
Your voice matters.
Children deserve room to form their own understanding, express a different thought, and say when something feels hurtful or unsafe. Respecting another person’s beliefs can go alongside having questions, boundaries, and a voice of your own.
Written by Rochelle Kasha. The book is in development. More glimpses of its story and illustrations will be shared here as it takes shape.
